We were able to recycle about 50% of the plastic and 80% of the aluminum.

Two Clean-ups Completed

With the Coastal Clean-up postponed until Oct. 18th, we decided to go ahead with some clean-ups in the East Pascagoula, Little River and Creole Bayou.
In two trips, about 800 lbs of litter was collected. Unfortunately there is plenty more out in the river.

Because the rain shortened the Renew Our Rivers clean-up in the spring, Mississippi Power has rescheduled it to October 15th for the Pascagoula River. This will be the third time we have helped (first time with Coastal Rivers). This is a great event and it shows the commitment to the environment of not only Mississippi Power but all of its employees who participate.
