More than 20 tons of trash was picked up Coast-Wide

Coastal Clean-up is a huge Success

The Oct. 18th coast wide clean-up had groups picking up tons of trash in the three coastal counties. Coastal Rivers concentrated on Mary Walker, Lang, and Souix Bayous and the West Pascagoula, South of I-10. We had six volunteers in two boats and picked up about 600lbs of litter

Again Mississippi Power showed it is commited to keeping our waterways clean. Their employees from both MS and AL removed thousands of pounds of litter from the Pascagoula River. Coastal Rivers acted as media boat in the morning and picked up litter the rest of the day. We collected over 250lbs of litter from Little River and Creole Bayou.
