As a result of the recent high water there is a lot of litter in the River

The Good News

In Nov. and Dec. 700 lbs of litter came out of the river. This included a refrigerator and a lot of bottles, styromoam, shoes , boots, and snuff cans. Three more refrigerators are set to be hauled in soon.

As a result of the recent high water there is a lot of litter in the River. While I have only checked from Little River south , there looks like it is worse than the litter the 2008 hurricanes. Some of the log jams have hundreds of pounds of litter. So Jan. will be a busy month.
