c. report littering to the authorities

2. PICK UP LITTER WHEN YOU CAN
a. in front of your house, on your street, and in your neighborhood
b. volunteer for community clean-ups
c. when you boat, try to bring back more trash than just yours

3. RECYCLE WHEN YOU CAN
a. use curbside recycling if it is available in your community
b. use a recycling center if you are near one
c. use reusable bags for shopping

4. HELP COASTAL RIVERS BY VOLUNTEERING OR DONATING
a. send an e-mail to get on the clean-up notification list
